Sanza Galaxy, a homemade synthesizer

In 2018, I participated in a STEM program called MSEIP while attending Morehouse College. I chose the group that geared towards music and technology since I had experience playing trumpet in high school. I also have a passion for innovation in technology. The goal was to create a homemade synthesizer to make music through a midi output device. I specifically worked with wiring the system to a breadboard and laser cutting the frame.

In the above image, we used piezoelectric sensors to tell if the user hit a note with kinetic energy. We also used four Arduinos to process that information.
